We asked Perplexity "best conveyancing solicitor in [town], UK" once for each of 10 UK towns, on 28 September 2026. The answers named an average of 4.1 firms each, and every answer named at least one.
This page is one of seven written from the same batch of September 2026 questions, covering accountants; architects; solicitors doing conveyancing; physiotherapists; dentists; solicitors in general and family law; and vets. Each page reports only the answers for its own trade, counted separately from the others. Conveyancing has the smallest sample of these pages, so treat the figures here as a smaller, more tentative read than the other pages.
Which sites get cited
reallymoving.com, a conveyancing comparison site, was cited in 10 of the 10 answers. reviewsolicitors.co.uk and trustpilot.com were each cited in 8 of the 10, and solicitors.com, a solicitor-specific directory, in 6 of 10. Two further directories, solicitor.info and thegoodsolicitorguide.com, tied for fifth place, each cited in 5 of 10.
Five things to check first
- Check whether your firm has a current, complete listing on reallymoving.com, since it was cited in every one of the 10 answers we logged.
- Check your profile and reviews on reviewsolicitors.co.uk and Trustpilot; both were cited in 8 of the 10 answers.
- Check your listing on solicitors.com too, cited in 6 of 10 answers, and on solicitor.info and thegoodsolicitorguide.com, each cited in 5 of 10.
- Keep a fixed-fee quote and a turnaround estimate visible and current on your own site, for the services you offer most often.
- Repeat the search for your own town occasionally. This is one run per question; the named firms can vary between runs.
None of the six sites above is the solicitor's own website. If you only check your own site and your general web search ranking, you are checking a different thing to what we measured here: the list of sources Perplexity showed under its answer to an actual question about conveyancing in a specific town.
What this means in practice
reallymoving.com was the only source in this sample cited in 10 of the 10 answers. The next most-cited sources, two review sites and three solicitor-specific directories, ranged from 5 of 10 to 8 of 10. A firm with a current listing on all six, rather than only one, matches more of the pattern we measured than a firm listed on just one.
Method and limits
- Engine: Perplexity only. We also track Google AI Overviews separately; this page covers Perplexity.
- 10 questions, one UK town each, answered once, on 28 September 2026. This is a smaller sample than our other pages.
- A source counts once per answer even if the domain appears more than once in that answer's source list; "cited in X of 10" means X separate answers listed that domain somewhere.
- We do not name any solicitors' firm on this page. The counts above come from our own run of these questions and can be checked by repeating them and reading the source list for each answer.
