Rebrand and multilingual site

Printing house, three decades in the market: rebrand and multilingual site

Client name withheld. Figures are from our deliverables on the stated dates.

Business: a printing house operating for more than three decades, expanding from its domestic base toward EU B2B clients.

What we did

A full rebrand — brand strategy, logo, moodboard, brand guidelines, design system — followed by a production website being built on Next.js 15 and React 19, with the interface and content localized into four languages: two local languages, English and German (the German version scoped as a phase-2 addition, held back from indexing until content is complete).

The work ran through staged client approval gates rather than a single handoff: brand strategy approved, logo direction approved the same day, moodboard and brand guidelines and design system approved next, then sitemap, wireframes, and technical stack approved together. Each gate required an explicit client sign-off before the next stage started.

Where the build stood

At our last recorded checkpoint, the component library stage was complete and the project was ready for the page-building gate. The homepage at that point was a scaffold proving fonts, locale routing, and header/footer behavior — not the finished multi-page site. We do not have a record in this project of the full site reaching production, so we're not reporting a launch date or post-launch traffic here.

Why the process mattered

A rebrand for a 30-plus-year-old business carries a specific risk: changing too much, too fast, and losing the trust equity built under the old identity — or changing too little and looking dated next to EU competitors who compete partly on visual presentation. The gated approval structure meant the client signed off on strategy before seeing a logo, and on a logo before seeing a full visual system, so no stage got rebuilt because an earlier decision was reopened downstream.

The four-language build reflects the client's actual buyer mix: domestic customers in two local languages alongside a growing EU wholesale audience that expects an English (and eventually German) version, not a translated afterthought bolted onto a single-language site.

Status

Rebrand assets (strategy, logo, guidelines, design system) are complete and approved. The website was at the component-library stage in our last record, with page assembly still ahead. No traffic or lead data is available yet because the client-facing pages had not shipped at that point.
